Curative Insurance and Mobile IV Therapy

Understand Your Coverage Before Mobile Care ArrivesUploaded Image

Curative members may have options for receiving select medically appropriate IV treatments without automatically traveling to a traditional infusion clinic.

IVTherapy2go® accepts Curative insurance for applicable services and provides select insurance-eligible mobile IV therapies for qualifying patients.

Learn more through the IVTherapy2go Curative page.

Does IVTherapy2go Accept Curative?

Yes. Curative is listed among the insurance plans accepted by IVTherapy2go for applicable services.

Acceptance does not guarantee that Curative will pay for every infusion or related service.

Coverage depends on:

  • Your exact Curative plan

  • Current eligibility

  • Provider network

  • Medical necessity

  • Requested infusion

  • Diagnosis

  • Prior authorization

  • Prescription requirements

  • Plan exclusions

  • Deductible

  • Copay or coinsurance

  • Other patient responsibility

A covered benefit must also be clinically appropriate for the patient.

Which Treatments May Be Insurance-Eligible?

IVTherapy2go currently identifies select treatments for which insurance coverage may be available when medically appropriate and approved.

Examples may include:

  • HydraBoost 500

  • HydraBoost 1000

  • Hangover Haven

  • MigraineMelt

  • Nausea Nix

  • Tummy Tonic

  • Clindamycin

  • Lasix

  • Ceftriaxone

The fact that a package is insurance-eligible does not mean it is automatically covered or medically appropriate.

Symptoms such as migraine, nausea, vomiting, or dehydration can have many possible causes. A medical evaluation may identify a need for testing, in-person evaluation, emergency treatment, or another type of care.

What Does the Appointment Include?

For an approved insurance-eligible service, the appointment may include:

  • A paramedic, LVN, or RN house call

  • A telemedicine physician consultation

  • The approved IV package

  • Professional administration

  • Appropriate monitoring

  • Follow-up instructions

Separate testing, prescriptions, imaging, or additional treatment may result in separate claims.

What Should You Ask Curative?

Call member services and ask:

  • Is IVTherapy2go in my network?

  • Is DK Physicians PLLC in my network?

  • Is the treating professional in network?

  • Does my plan cover mobile IV therapy?

  • Is the requested package covered for my diagnosis?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Is a prescription or medical order necessary?

  • Is the medication covered through medical benefits?

  • Are mobile-service charges covered?

  • Does my deductible apply?

  • What is my copay or coinsurance?

  • Could I receive separate bills?

  • What amount may remain my responsibility?

Request a reference number.

What Is Clinical Eligibility?

Clinical eligibility means a healthcare professional has determined that the requested treatment is appropriate based on factors such as:

  • Current symptoms

  • Health history

  • Medications

  • Allergies

  • Existing conditions

  • Hydration status

  • Recent laboratory results

  • Blood pressure

  • Previous infusion reactions

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding status

  • The requested infusion

More fluid is not automatically better.

Heart, kidney, liver, blood-pressure, or fluid-balance conditions may affect whether IV fluids are appropriate.

What Should You Have Ready?

Prepare:

  • Current Curative insurance card

  • Photo identification

  • Medication and supplement list

  • Allergy list

  • Relevant medical records

  • Recent laboratory results

  • Medical order when required

  • Referral or authorization

  • Previous IV-treatment information

  • Preferred pharmacy

  • Emergency contact

  • Questions about treatment

Where Can You Receive Treatment?

An appropriate home, hotel, vacation rental, office, or workplace may qualify when the address is inside the service area and the setting is suitable for professional care.

Prepare:

  • Comfortable seating

  • Adequate lighting

  • Reasonable privacy

  • Space for supplies

  • Safe building access

  • A clean environment

  • Secured pets

How Does Scheduling Work?

Check the IVTherapy2go service area and submit an appointment request with an accurate telephone number and treatment address.

A team member may contact you to confirm the details.

Because the healthcare professional travels between patients, the selected appointment time may begin an arrival window. Remain available at the treatment location.

Are Prescriptions and Tests Covered?

Prescription medications, laboratory tests, imaging, and follow-up services may have separate coverage rules.

Confirm the network, authorization requirements, and possible patient responsibility before receiving non-emergency outside services.

Areas Served

IVTherapy2go focuses mobile coverage in the DFW, Austin, and San Antonio areas, with potential availability in Arlington, Farmers Branch, Brownwood, Houston, El Paso, and other serviced Texas communities.

When Should You Call 911?

Call 911 for severe chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, stroke symptoms, loss of consciousness, seizures, uncontrolled bleeding, severe allergic reactions, or another potentially life-threatening condition.
