Generations FCU Employees Explore Mobile IV Therapy

EHN Network Benefits for Hydration Care Across TexasUploaded Image

When you are dehydrated or feeling run down, traveling to receive care may add more stress to your day. IVTherapy2go™ brings professional IV hydration services to eligible patients at home, at work, or another convenient location.

Generations Federal Credit Union employees enrolled in the EHN Network Plan may have benefits that apply to medically appropriate IV services. Coverage depends on active eligibility, medical necessity, provider participation, prior authorization, and the treatment being requested.

Before scheduling, review the HPI Insurance Page and contact HPI to confirm whether your requested service is covered.

What Does the Generations FCU Plan Include?

Generations Federal Credit Union employees may be enrolled in the EHN Network Plan.

According to the available plan information, members have:

  • $20 copay for participating primary care visits

  • $30 copay for participating specialist visits

These amounts do not automatically determine what you will owe for IV therapy. The cost of an appointment may depend on how the service is classified, medical necessity, the ingredients administered, provider participation, and the member’s current benefits.

IV fluids, medications, vitamins, laboratory testing, medical supplies, and administration services may be processed separately. Certain wellness-focused treatments may not be covered by insurance.

An insurance card does not guarantee coverage or payment. Members should verify their benefits with HPI before scheduling.

Can Generations FCU Employees Use IVTherapy2go?

Eligible Generations FCU employees and their covered family members may request mobile IV services when medically appropriate and available within their service area.

IVTherapy2go may provide hydration and supportive care for concerns such as:

  • Dehydration

  • Fluid loss from vomiting or diarrhea

  • Fatigue associated with dehydration

  • Recovery support after illness

  • Headache or migraine support

  • Travel-related dehydration

  • Heat exposure

  • General hydration needs

  • Provider-recommended vitamin supplementation

  • Other medically appropriate concerns

A medical professional will review your health history, medications, allergies, symptoms, and requested treatment before administering an infusion. Treatment may be changed, delayed, or declined when IV therapy is not medically appropriate.

For scheduling assistance, call IVTherapy2go at (817) 508-8169.

Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, signs of a stroke, fainting, confusion, uncontrolled bleeding, severe dehydration, major trauma, or another life-threatening emergency.

How Do I Verify My IV Therapy Benefits?

Because insurance coverage for IV therapy can vary, members should contact HPI before scheduling.

Consider asking:

  • Does IVTherapy2go participate with my Generations FCU plan?

  • Is DK Physicians PLLC recognized as participating?

  • Is mobile IV hydration covered by my benefits?

  • Does coverage require a specific medical diagnosis?

  • How will the treatment be classified?

  • What copay, deductible, or coinsurance applies?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Are IV fluids, medications, vitamins, and supplies billed separately?

  • Are wellness-focused infusions excluded from coverage?

  • Will I have a time-of-service responsibility?

Ask for the representative’s name, the date of the conversation, and a reference number. Keep this information with your records in case you have questions after the claim is processed.

Benefit verification does not guarantee coverage or payment. HPI makes the final determination after reviewing the submitted claim.

What Network Does the Plan Use?

The Generations FCU plan uses the EHN Preferred Network. This network includes Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance providers who have chosen to participate.

Not every Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance provider participates in the EHN Preferred Network. Members should confirm the network status of IVTherapy2go and DK Physicians PLLC before receiving treatment.

To locate or verify a participating provider:

  • Call Pathways Concierge at (888) 811-3419

  • Contact BSWQA Care Navigation at 1-844-279-7589

  • Call HPI at (800) 532-7575

  • Provide your plan name, member identification number, and requested service

Provider participation can change, so members should confirm network status before each appointment whenever possible.

Are Specialist Referrals Required?

The available Generations Federal Credit Union plan information does not list a specific specialist-referral requirement.

Certain services may still require prior authorization or additional medical review. IV therapy may also require supporting medical information depending on the treatment being requested.

Members should contact HPI at (800) 532-7575 before scheduling to confirm whether a referral, prescription, or prior authorization is required.

What Should I Have Ready for My Appointment?

Before your mobile IV appointment, please prepare:

  • Your current Generations FCU insurance card

  • A photo identification card

  • Your member identification number

  • A list of current medications and supplements

  • Known medication, food, or adhesive allergies

  • Relevant medical conditions

  • Recent blood pressure or glucose readings, if applicable

  • A description of your symptoms

  • The date your symptoms began

  • Any required authorization documents

  • A comfortable place for the medical professional to provide care
